Strive for excellence with Digiwiz’s One-on-One Online IGCSE Tuition
IGCSE stands for International General Certificate of Secondary Education. This is a secondary-level qualification. IGCSE has been created by Cambridge Assessment International Education. This board provides a curriculum that comprises a wide range of subjects. The students can shape their academic paths through this choice-based, open-learning system. The students do not just learn multiple subjects but also acquire skills that qualify them to make connections among these. The IGCSE curriculum is English language-based and therefore encourages students to interact globally.
The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum is broad and schools have the authority to choose subject combinations according to the goals of their institution and the expertise of their faculty. The IGCSE curriculum helps the students engage in critical thinking, problem-solving, and practical skill acquisition. The IGCSE curriculum is designed for students across the globe and therefore it is constructed with cultural sensitivity.
The IGCSE syllabus consists of more than 70 subjects, 30 of which are languages. There are certain core subjects such as Science, Maths, and English that everyone must study. The 10th graders have to choose around 10 subjects in total. The students have a lot of choices, starting at an early age. This fosters independence, as they carve out their paths.
IGCSE values dynamic and complete personality development and therefore focuses on building a theoretical base and practical skills. The assessment is therefore based on both factors.
